Students who stay overnight will be paired with Raza students who are living in the university dorms. This gives students an opportunity to experience what it is like to live on campus and make informed housing decisions. It also gives new admits the chance to get to network with UCLA students, ask questions about campus life, and prepare for Bruin Transfer Day the following Saturday. Although TRD has a big emphasis on bringing family members to campus and showing them around, we unfortunately cannot host parents and familia members. We highly encourage admits to stay overnight to gain greater insight on the experience of being a UCLA student.
You and your host are responsible for abiding by the residence hall and campus policies which can be found here.
In addition, admitted students are not allowed to attend any off-campus events( e.g. fraternity/ sorority parties, house parties, other parties/gathering, the mall, etc). You are only allowed to participate in the activities that are part of Transfer Raza Day.
In case of an EMERGENCY, contact UCPD at (310)825-1491, 911, or contact the Duty Resident Director at (310) 206-9633
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us. If you were part of previous TRDs, be sure to share your experience with other students!
